The app supports devices running iOS 16 and Android OS 13 or later.

Each subscription plan includes a Kids CARE Account, which consists of a Parent profile and the paired devices. There is a quota for number of devices that can be paired on each account, depending on the plan subscribed.
The Parent is the account owner who manages the service subscription, Family Circle and paired devices.
The Parent PIN is a security measure preventing unauthorised access to the Kids CARE app. It is required when making changes to the settings.
Select Forget Parent PIN > Enter the one-time verification code sent to your mobile number > set a new Parent PIN
Family Circle allows you to share location within the circle and monitor your child's device. Before adding child or guardian devices, the Parent must create a Family Circle. The Family Circle name automatically matches the last name provided during registration.
This permission helps prevent the Kids CARE app on your child’s device from being deleted accidentally.
On Parent's Device
To meet Android’s default security settings, the system requires a security certificate to be installed first.
This certificate ensures secure communication, allowing features like YouTube watch history, app usage records, and other monitoring functions to work properly.
Please follow these steps to install the CA Certificate:
If Google Family Link is enabled on your child’s device, Family Link blocks manual certificate installation for security reasons – and there is no setting to disable or bypass this restriction.
Before installing Kids CARE, please remove or turn off Google Family Link:
Yes, if you want to keep using Google Family Link, you can skip installing the security certificate during device pairing or when updating the app.
However, skipping means you won’t be able to view your child’s YouTube website watch history and Google search history from browsers other than Chrome.
A Guardian is an individual invited by the Parent to help supervise child devices within the Family Circle. Guardians have their own login credentials, password, and Parent PIN. However, unlike the Parent, a Guardian cannot manage subscriptions, create a Family Circle, or add/remove devices.
The latest applied setting will override the previous one.
A Parent can only create one Family Circle at a time. However, there is no limit to the number of Family Circles a Guardian can join.
A device quota is deducted when a Guardian’s or Child’s profile is added to the Kids CARE account. Likewise, the quota is released when a profile is deleted.
A parent or guardian can only log in with one device at a time.
Parent can set a time limit of how long your child can use their device. Once the limit is reached, "Lock Mode" is automatically activated, restricting web and app activity until 12:00 AM the following day. Please note that phone and messaging apps remain accessible.
Additionally, parents can use the "Always Allowed Apps" feature to ensure specific communication tools remain available even while the device is in "Lock Mode". Currently, you can select WeChat and WhatsApp to be set as "Always Allowed," ensuring your child can still use these essential communication apps even after their daily screen time limit has been reached.
The system calculates daily screen time based on the total duration the screen is active, rather than just active interaction. Moments where the screen lights up due to notifications, accidental touches, or automatic wake events are also counted toward the daily limit.
We recommend that parents set a small buffer when determining the daily limit to account for these "unexpected screen-on" moments.
If you need to adjust your child's remaining time, you can easily manage this through the Kids CARE App:
This usually happens because of YouTube’s Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature. PiP allows videos to keep playing in a small floating window, even when the device is locked or screen time is ran out.
You can easily close this loophole by adjusting a few settings:
Step 1: Disable Picture-in-Picture on your child’s device :
Step 2: Double-check your Parent App settings
Pro Tip for Extra Protection:
Block the "Settings" app on your child’s device using Kids CARE. This prevents them from going into their phone settings and re-enabling Picture-in-Picture on their own.
Default Mode provides default protection for your child when no other scheduled mode is active. By default, it limits daily screen time to 6 hours and blocks inappropriate web content, while helping prevent your child from making paid purchases inside apps without permission. Parents can customise the restriction rules under Default Mode or create new modes to suit different situations, such as school hours or homework time.
"Lock Mode" can be activated manually by parents or automatically once the daily screen time limit is reached. In this mode, the child's device is restricted to phone and messaging apps.
Parents can also use the "Always Allowed Apps" feature to customize which specific apps or content remain available even while the device is in “Lock Mode”. By selecting these apps, you ensure that essential tools remain functional for your child even after their daily screen time limit has been reached.
To customize the restrictions of the current active mode:
Open the child’s Dashboard > Select on the right of "Blocked Web Content" or "Blocked Apps" under the current active mode
To customize the restrictions of other modes:
Open the child’s Dashboard > Go to Settings tab > Select “Modes & Restrictions” > Select for the mode you wish to edit
Open the child’s Dashboard > Go to Settings tab > Select "Modes & Restrictions" > Tap the "+ Create New Mode" button
Open the child’s Dashboard, locate the panel showing the currently active mode > Tap the "Switch" button within the panel > Choose your desired mode and select “Switch to this mode"
Yes, you can lock your child's device immediately using the Lock Mode. This action will override any existing schedule or active mode.
Schedule allows parents to apply different Modes at specific times or days to align with their child's routine.
Go to Home and select your child’s device. Find the current mode, then tap next to “Blocked Web Content”. You can edit the web categories you want to block or allow, or add, change, or remove specific websites.
If blocked website categories are not working as expected, please check the following:
1. Connection Check: Ensure both the parent's and child's devices are connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Restrictions cannot update if either device is offline.
2. Feature Activation: Verify that the "Web & App Blocking" feature is enabled under Content Restrictions in the mode settings.
3. Manual Blocking: For more precise control, we recommend manually entering the specific website URLs you wish to block in the block list, as category filters may not cover every site.
Open the child's Dashboard, locate the panel for the currently active mode > Tap next to the "Blocked Apps" section for that mode > Select the Apps to block
Please ensure both your device and your child’s device are updated to iOS 26.3 or above, and that you are using the latest version of the Kids CARE app.
Please note that certain Apple built-in apps (such as Facetime, Mail, Messages, Phone, Safari) cannot be blocked due to iOS system limitations.

The system needs a moment to sync; Newly installed apps might not appear immediately in the block list.
Please wait a few minutes and check the App Blocking list again. If the app still does not appear after some time, please contact our support team by going to "My Account" > "Your Feedback" in the app.
You cannot block all apps due to iOS system restrictions. Native iOS apps (like Phone, Messages, Settings, Safari, Apple Music) cannot be blocked.
However, you can use the "Block All Apps" function to block all downloaded (third-party) apps at once. Once enabled, all downloaded apps on your child's device will become dimmed and unusable. This block remains in effect until you manually turn the function off.
*If your child's device is not running the latest iOS version, blocked apps may be hidden instead of just dimmed.
The "Block All Apps" function only blocks apps downloaded from the App Store. It does not affect native iOS system apps.
iOS system apps cannot be blocked due to restrictions set by Apple's iOS.
Please follow the instructions for your child's device type to enable restrictions for downloading/purchasing apps and blocking in-app purchase.
For child using iOS Devices:
Open the child’s Dashboard > Go to Settings > Select Purchases & Content Restrictions > Block App Store Connection OR Block In-App Purchases
For child using Android Devices:
Open the child’s Dashboard > Go to Settings > Select Block Google Play App
Even if you haven’t set App Store restrictions, downloads and updates may still be blocked if App Blocking or Always Allowed Apps is turned on.

What you can do:
Important: Disabling this setting will temporarily lift app restrictions for 15 minutes. We highly recommend turning “Restrict App Downloads and Updates” back on once your child has finished downloading or updating apps.
This is typically due to an outdated operating system or app version. When Lock Mode is enabled on an older iOS version, some apps disappear from the home screen to prevent access. Once Lock Mode is turned off, the apps reappear, but their order may be rearranged.
To prevent this, please ensure both your device and your child's device are updated to iOS 26.3 or above, and that you are using the latest version of the Kids CARE app.
"Always Allowed Apps" is a setting that lets you choose specific apps to remain accessible on your child's device at all times, regardless of which mode (e.g., Lock Mode, Study Mode, Sleep Mode) is active.
You can select WhatsApp and WeChat to be always allowed. Essential communication apps like the Phone and Messages apps are always allowed by default and cannot be changed.
Please ensure both your device and your child’s devices are updated to iOS 26.3 or above, and that you are using the latest version of the Kids CARE app. Outdated software may allow access to previously downloaded or cached content.
No. When you block the YouTube app, Kids CARE automatically blocks all related web access as well, including popular domains like youtube.com and m.youtube.com. This ensures your child cannot bypass restrictions by switching to a web browser.

Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select your child’s device to see their location.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select to manage location tracking on your child’s devices.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select to turn location sharing on or off.
We understand how important it is to stay updated on your child’s whereabouts. GPS updates may occasionally be delayed due to signal, network, or device settings. Here are some common reasons & quick fixes:
1, Weak GPS signal (e.g. in subway, elevator, or indoors): Please wait 1–2 minutes and move to an open area.
2. Unstable network or congested Wi‑Fi: Ensure mobile data remains enabled, even when connected to Wi‑Fi.
3. Battery‑saving restrictions:
iOS: Disable “Low Power Mode”, set Location to “Always Allow”, and enable Notifications
Android: Set battery usage to “Unrestricted”, set Location permissions to “Always Allow”, and enable Notifications
4. Device in rapid motion: If the device is moving quickly, please wait 1–2 minutes for the location to update accurately.
If your child uses an iOS device, this may occur because Apple periodically asks users to reconfirm location permissions for apps that frequently access location data to protect user privacy. If the child selects “Don’t Allow”, location sharing will be disabled.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location”, scroll to “Location Check-in/out Alert Setting” and select “Add Check-in/out Alert Location” to create check-in/check-out alerts.

Yes, you can set up multiple location check-in/out alerts. Each Family Circle supports up to 10 locations.
Currently, one "Family Circle" can only apply the same location check-in/out alerts for all children.
To ensure more accurate location check-in/out alerts, set non-overlapping location zones and stay in areas with strong GPS signals (e.g., open or outdoor spaces).
Also, check your child’s device for below settings to improve accuracy:
- Enable location services and "Kids CARE" App location permissions:
iOS: Set to "Always Allow" and enable "Precise Location"
Android: Set to "Allow All the Time" and enable "High Accuracy Mode“
- Disable battery saver and low data modes
- Keep Wi-Fi signal on (even with mobile data)
- Keep the "Kids CARE" App running
If you’re in an area with weak GPS signals or your child lingers for a short time/moves quickly (e.g., in a car or MTR), the system may not accurately detect their location, and you may not receive location check-in/out alerts.
On iOS devices:
Blocked websites will be completely inaccessible, and blocked apps will be hidden from the home screen, ensuring your child cannot access them.
On Android devices:
When your child attempts to access a blocked app, a notification prompt will appear, preventing access. Additionally, blocked websites will remain inaccessible.
Go to Family Dashboard > Select the child's device > Select Web History > Check Recent Web Activity Record.
You can go to the relevant Family Circle homepage, tap your child’s device, and open the “Statistics” tab. And you’ll be able to see the screen time, app usage records (Android devices only), web browsing history, Google search history and YouTube watch history.
You can view your child’s activity records for the past 30 days.
App usage records are only available on Android devices.
If your child is using an iOS device:
Due to Apple’s system-level privacy restrictions, third-party parental-control apps are not allowed to track or show per-app usage on iOS devices. You can only view time-based screen time reports (shown by default).
On iOS devices:
Yes, it captures searches done through Chrome app, Google App, andany web browser.
On Android devices:
Yes, it captures searches done through Chrome App and Samsung Internet Browser.
Yes. YouTube Watch History includes videos watched on both the YouTube app and the YouTube website.
YouTube automatically plays short previews when scrolling over thumbnails (even without clicking). These brief auto-plays are counted as “watched” in the history. You can disable thumbnail auto-play with these steps:
Google search history is only supported for searches conducted through the Chrome app or Samsung Internet browser app on Android devices.
YouTube watch history can take around 5 minutes to appear. Please make sure the YouTube website is not blocked in the current mode. If it’s blocked, watch history cannot be retrieved.
You can view detailed notifications about your child’s device activity and status. You can also filter notifications by activity type (e.g. location alerts, web blocks, screen time) to quickly keep track of what matters most.
Yes – you can disable push notifications in your device’s Settings page. However, we recommend keeping them ON so you stay updated on your child’s latest device activity.
Step 1: On Parent’s Device:
Open the Kids CARE app, go to Dashboard > Supervised Tab > Swipe left on the device you wish to remove, and select Delete

Step 2: On the child's device:
Go to the Home screen, long-press the Kids CARE icon, and select Uninstall
Yes. For Android devices, the app is protected by default and cannot be deleted by your child; For iOS devices, simply install the latest version of the Kids CARE app on both your device and your child's device to prevent it from being deleted without your consent.
If you repeatedly decline to set up the "Anti-Deletion Permissions," your child will be able to delete the Kids CARE app from their iOS device. Once the app is deleted, the system will send an "App Disabled" notification to the parent's device, allowing you to take follow-up actions.
The Kids CARE profile is still stored on the device, so the system treats it as the same app and blocks reinstallation.
Please follow the steps below to remove the profile first and reinstall the app:
1. On the child’s device → Settings > General > VPN & Device Management
2. Tap Kids CARE Enrollment Profile → Remove Management
Kids CARE requires the devices in the family circle to be connected to either mobile data or Wi-Fi.
Yes, as long as the device remains connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi.
In general, the stricter rule will be adopted, regardless of whether it's from Kids CARE, Google Family Link, Apple Screen Time, or other parental control apps.
Examples:
This happens because Kids CARE protects its own app settings to ensure your safety rules remain effective. While this protection is active, access to the settings of other apps may also be temporarily restricted. To make changes, please follow these steps:
1. Open the Kids CARE app on the parent's device and go to "Settings".
2. Toggle off "Kids CARE Settings Protection".
3. You can now modify the settings for other apps on your child's device.
Note: To ensure continuous protection, this feature will automatically re-enable 15 minutes after being turned off.
Due to Google’s system restrictions, Kids CARE cannot record activity through the Google app or the Google Search bar widget on Android. To make sure Google search history still works properly, Kids CARE automatically opens a web browser (e.g. Chrome) whenever the child tries to use the Google app.
If restrictions remain after unblocking in the “Kids CARE” App, please check the device settings. Steps below:
On iOS devices:
1. On the child’s device, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management Check if the Kids CARE VPN is still connected, and confirm the MDM profile has not been removed.
2. If any content or app restrictions is enabled, go to Settings scroll down to Screen Time > tap your child’s device under Family → check if any limit is set in App Limits or any app or content restrictions is set in Content & Privacy Restrictions.
On Android devices:
1. On the child’s device, go to Settings, scroll down and tap Accessibility > Installed apps. Check if the Kids CARE app is still enabled.
2. If Family Link is enabled, open the Family Link app. Review any app, content, or screen time restrictions.
