The app supports devices running iOS 16 and Android OS 13 or later.
Download and open the app on the parent's device > Select Parent’s Device > Select Continue with Phone Number > Log in with verification code > Fill in your basic information to create an account > Set a 4-digit Parent PIN > Create a new Family Circle and set up your child's profile > Add your child's device to the Family Circle with the invitation code or QR code.
Your Last Name will be the name of your Family Circle (e.g., "Chan's Family").
Each subscription plan includes a Kids CARE Account, which consists of a Parent profile and the paired devices. There is a quota for number of devices that can be paired on each account, depending on the plan subscribed.
The Parent is the account owner who manages the service subscription, Family Circle and paired devices.
The Parent PIN is a security measure preventing unauthorised access to the Kids CARE app. It is required when making changes to the settings.
Select Forget Parent PIN > Enter the one-time verification code sent to your mobile number > set a new Parent PIN
Family Circle allows you to share location within the circle and monitor your child's device. Before adding child or guardian devices, the Parent must create a Family Circle. The Family Circle name automatically matches the last name provided during registration.
On Parent's Device
To meet Android’s default security settings, the system requires a security certificate to be installed first.
This certificate ensures secure communication, allowing features like YouTube watch history, app usage records, and other monitoring functions to work properly.
A Guardian is an individual invited by the Parent to help supervise child devices within the Family Circle. Guardians have their own login credentials, password, and Parent PIN. However, unlike the Parent, a Guardian cannot manage subscriptions, create a Family Circle, or add/remove devices.
The latest applied setting will override the previous one.
A Parent can only create one Family Circle at a time. However, there is no limit to the number of Family Circles a Guardian can join.
A device quota is deducted when a Guardian’s or Child’s profile is added to the Kids CARE account. Likewise, the quota is released when a profile is deleted.
Parent or each Guardian can log in with one device at a time.
When the screen time limit has been reached, the child's device will be locked. However, they can still access phone calls and messaging apps.
A Mode allows parents to set customised settings for specific situations. For example, in Homework mode, all gaming and social media apps are blocked.
When Lock Mode is enabled, the child's device is restricted to phone calls and messages only. Due to iOS limitations, some native apps may remain accessible.
Open the child’s Dashboard > Go to Rules tab > Select Modes & Restrictions > Select the desired Mode to edit.
SafeGuard Mode applies default settings such as screen time limits, content filtering and blocking in-app purchases, when no scheduled Mode is active.
Yes. You can activate Lock Mode and lock your child's device instantly, it will override any existing Schedule.
Schedule allows parents to apply different Modes at specific times or days to align with their child's routine.
Open the child's Dashboard > Go to Rules tab > Select Modes & Restrictions > Select the mode > Navigate to Web Filtering under Restrictions
On iOS devices:
Your child won’t be able to open blocked websites and blocked apps will disappear from the home screen. They simply can’t use them.
On Android devices:
Blocked websites won’t load, and when your child tries to open a blocked app, a pop-up notification appears instantly and blocks access. Keeping them away from the content.
For child using iOS Devices:
Yes. Use the “Hide All Downloaded Apps” function to temporarily hide every downloaded app on your child’s device. Once enabled, the home screen shows only the browser and built-in apps. All other apps are hidden until you turn the function off.
After the "Kids CARE" App blocks designated apps on iOS devices (including YouTube, Netflix and other streaming platform apps, and Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms), they will no longer be able to connect to the internet, meaning they cannot stream or download new content. When your child tries to open a blocked app, a connection error page will be displayed.
However, if the app has downloaded or cached content before being blocked (e.g., streamed videos, messages, or game data), your child can still browse that content offline until it is fully viewed.
If the app had already downloaded or cached content before the block (e.g. streamed videos, messages, or game data), your child can still view it offline until it’s all used up. Please note the blocked app is no longer be able to connect to the internet, no streaming, no new downloads.
The system needs a moment to update; newly downloaded apps may not appear instantly in the block list. Please try again later. If the app still doesn’t show up, tap “My Account” > “Your Feedback” to contact us.。
The “Kids CARE” App block list already shows every app detected on the iOS device (including YouTube, Netflix and other streaming apps). We keep the list updated. Can't find the app you want to block? Go to “My Account” >“Your Feedback” to contact us.
Please note however, some apps cannot be blocked:
If your child tries to open a blocked app, the screen will show a connection error and the app cannot be used normally.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select your child’s device to see their location.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select to manage location tracking on your child’s devices.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location” and select to turn location sharing on or off.
Go to Family Dashboard, tap “Location”, scroll to “Location Check-in/out Alert Setting” and select “Add Check-in/out Alert Location” to create check-in/check-out alerts.

Yes, you can set up multiple location check-in/out alerts. Each Family Circle supports up to 10 locations.
Currently, one "Family Circle" can only apply the same location check-in/out alerts for all children.
To ensure more accurate location check-in/out alerts, set non-overlapping location zones and stay in areas with strong GPS signals (e.g., open or outdoor spaces).
Also, check your child’s device for below settings to improve accuracy:
- Enable location services and "Kids CARE" App location permissions:
iOS: Set to "Always Allow" and enable "Precise Location"
Android: Set to "Allow All the Time" and enable "High Accuracy Mode“
- Disable battery saver and low data modes
- Keep Wi-Fi signal on (even with mobile data)
- Keep the "Kids CARE" App running
If you’re in an area with weak GPS signals or your child lingers for a short time/moves quickly (e.g., in a car or MTR), the system may not accurately detect their location, and you may not receive location check-in/out alerts.
If the "Kids CARE" App’s Lock Mode is enabled on your child’s device or all apps are blocked, the app cannot update their location, and location check-in/out alerts may be delayed or paused.
The iOS system periodically checks location permission settings. Ensure the "Kids CARE" App is set to "Always Allow."
Ensure the "Kids CARE" App is updated to the latest version to access all new features and an improved experience.
On iOS devices:
Blocked websites will be completely inaccessible, and blocked apps will be hidden from the home screen, ensuring your child cannot access them.
On Android devices:
When your child attempts to access a blocked app, a notification prompt will appear, preventing access. Additionally, blocked websites will remain inaccessible.

You can go to the relevant Family Circle homepage, tap your child’s device, and open the “Statistics” tab. And you’ll be able to see the screen time, app usage records (Android devices only), web browsing history, Google search history and YouTube watch history.
You can view your child’s activity records for the past 30 days.
App usage records are only available on Android devices.
If your child is using an iOS device:

Yes. YouTube Watch History includes videos watched on both the YouTube app and the YouTube website.
YouTube automatically plays short previews when scrolling over thumbnails (even without clicking). These brief auto-plays are counted as “watched” in the history. You can disable thumbnail auto-play with these steps:
Google search history is only supported for searches conducted through the Chrome app or Samsung Internet browser app on Android devices.
YouTube watch history can take around 5 minutes to appear. Please make sure the YouTube website is not blocked in the current mode. If it’s blocked, watch history cannot be retrieved.
You can view detailed notifications about your child’s device activity and status. You can also filter notifications by activity type (e.g. location alerts, web blocks, screen time) to quickly keep track of what matters most.
Yes – you can disable push notifications in your device’s Settings page. However, we recommend keeping them ON so you stay updated on your child’s latest device activity.
Step 1: On Parent’s Device:

Step 2: On Child’s Device:
Delete the app from the child’s device Homescreen
Kids CARE requires the devices in the family circle to be connected to either mobile data or Wi-Fi.
Yes, as long as the device remains connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi.
We recommend that parents enter the specific websites they wish to block manually. Additionally, please check if the Web / App Filtering configuration under Mode & Restrictions is enabled. Please also make sure both the Parent and Child devices are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Rules cannot be updated if either device is offline.
When Lock Mode is enabled for iOS devices, some apps disappear from the home screen to prevent access. Once Lock Mode is turned off, the apps reappear, but their order may be rearranged.
Ensure location permissions are correctly set on the child's device:
On iOS Devices:
- Select Always for Kids CARE App.
- Disable Low Power Mode and Low Data Mode.
- Make sure Airplane Mode is OFF, and the device is connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi.
On Android Devices:
- Select Allow all the time for location permissions.
- Disable Battery Saver and Data Limit.
- Make sure Airplane Mode is OFF, and the device is connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi.
iOS native apps cannot be blocked due to iOS restrictions.
Due to Google’s system restrictions, Kids CARE cannot record activity through the Google app or the Google Search bar widget on Android. To make sure Google search history still works properly, Kids CARE automatically opens a web browser (e.g. Chrome) whenever the child tries to use the Google app.
If restrictions remain after unblocking in the “Kids CARE” App, please check the device settings. Steps below:
On iOS devices:
1. On the child’s device, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management Check if the Kids CARE VPN is still connected, and confirm the MDM profile has not been removed.
2. If any content or app restrictions is enabled, go to Settings scroll down to Screen Time > tap your child’s device under Family → check if any limit is set in App Limits or any app or content restrictions is set in Content & Privacy Restrictions.
On Android devices:
1. On the child’s device, go to Settings, scroll down and tap Accessibility > Installed apps. Check if the Kids CARE app is still enabled.
2. If Family Link is enabled, open the Family Link app. Review any app, content, or screen time restrictions.
