# "Consumers' No.1 Best Preferred 5G Network" is based on results obtained from study conducted by market research company NuanceTree, as commissioned by SmarTone. 3,942 post-paid SIM card users were interviewed via online survey and street interviews between Jan and Dec 2022.


Monthly fee $239/ $299/ $399 are based on the original monthly fee $398/ $398/ $498 for 5G SIM Only Service Plan, after a rebate of $159/ $99/ $99 per month credited to the customer during the contract period. After expiry of the contract period, the customer will be charged at the prevailing comparable plan if the customer continues to use the service.


Upon subscription of a designated 5G SIM Only Service Plan (80GB/ 80GB/ 150GB) under fixed term contract, the customer can enjoy extra 30GB/ 30GB/ 30GB Local Data per month during the contract period.


"Mainland China and Macau Data Pack" Service Rebate: Subscription to "Mainland China and Macau Data Pack" is required within the contract period. Customer can enjoy a monthly service fee rebate under a designated plan within contract period. The amount of rebate depends on the monthly service charge at the time of service subscription. The rebate of the first bill month and/or the last bill month will be credited on a pro-rata basis based on the number of days of usage (If applicable). The rebate amount in a bill month will not be greater than the monthly service charge. After the expiry of the contract period, prevailing service fee will be charged if the customer continues to use the service.


Customer who has subscribed to a designated 5G service plan contract subscription with a fixed-term contract can enjoy Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" service for free during the contract period.
Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan: Choosing the Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan requires signing a contract with the same period as the monthly rate plan. The Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan is priced at HK$48 per month, with a monthly deduction of HK$48 as a rebate during the contract period, resulting in an actual monthly fee of HK$0. After successfully purchasing this package, customers can use the free voice minutes provided by this package within the valid period, including incoming calls in Mainland , making direct roaming calls to local numbers and to Hong Kong. The subsequent call charges will be HK$1.3 per minute. Standard roaming charges will apply for usage in other destinations or when using other roaming voice services. Within the valid period, customers can also enjoy the first 10 designated SMS messages free of charge each month. T&C apply (T&C-I017).


Customer who has subscribed to a designated 5G service plan contract subscription with a fixed-term contract can enjoy Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" service at a special monthly fee HK$28 during the contract period. The special monthly fee will depend on the contract subscription selected by the customer.
Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan: Choosing the Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan requires signing a contract with the same period as the monthly rate plan. The Upgraded "Mainland China & HK 1 Card 2 Numbers" Service Plan is priced at HK$48 per month, with a monthly deduction of HK$20 as a rebate during the contract period, resulting in an actual monthly fee of HK$28. After successfully purchasing this package, customers can use the free voice minutes provided by this package within the valid period, including incoming calls in Mainland , making direct roaming calls to local numbers and to Hong Kong. Offer is only applicable to customer who subscribes / re-contracts / upgrades to a designated service plan. Customer is required to subscribe a designated service plan, sign a designated fixed-term contract subscription and pay an admin fee of $18 per month. Customer is further required to prepay designated amount of service fee and admin fee. The amount of required service fee prepayment, the extra data and/or free offers and/or the value of the premium to be given will depend on the contract subscription selected by the customer. Upon subscription of a designated 5G SIM Only Service Plan under fixed term contract, the customer can enjoy 1Mbps unlimited data during the contract period. Customer can enjoy a monthly rebate under the designated plan, and the amount of rebate is based on the monthly service charge at the time of service subscription. The rebate on the first bill month and/or the last bill month will be credited on a pro-rata basis based on the number of days of usage during the bill cycle (if applicable). The rebate amount in a bill month will not be greater than the monthly service charge. After the expiry of the contract, 1Mbps unlimited data will be terminated. The plan cannot be used in conjunction with DataRoam Plan.

5G SIM Only Monthly Plan: The account registrant shall be responsible for the specified service plan and responsible all fees payable for the monthly bill of the specified service plan. The plan cannot be used in conjunction with "DataRoam Plan".


Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack ("the Package"): The Free 2GB / 3GB / 10GB / 15GB per month Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$58 / HK$88 / HK$298 / HK$448, after a rebate of HK$58 / HK$88 / HK$298 / HK$448 per month has been given to the customer within contract period. The monthly 2GB / 3GB / 10GB / 15GB data allowance of the Package can be used in Mainland and Macau and only available for existing customers of the Company's designated monthly mobile service plan. Customers should activate "Data Roaming Day Pass" at the same time. When the Customer is located in Mainland and Macau and the data usage has exceeded the monthly allowance of the Package, the Company will notify the Customer by SMS. The Customer may reply by SMS to purchase a top-up of the Package at the charge as specified in the SMS received. If the Customer does not reply to top-up, any subsequent data roaming usage will be deducted from other roaming products. If no other product is available, customers will be charged at a fixed daily rate automatically. (If applicable) The 200 minutes of roaming voice minutes per month in Mainland and Macau ("The Roaming Voice Offer") is only applicable to Primary SIM Card. The Roaming Voice Offer is only applicable in Mainland and Macau for receiving calls, outgoing calls to local and Hong Kong by roaming direct dial. Calls in other destinations/ other roaming calls usage will be charge at standard roaming rates. The Roaming Voice offer cannot coexist with other packages that offer roaming voice minutes or roaming voice discounts ("The Designated Packages"). The Customer cannot enjoy the Roaming Voice Offer if Customer has purchased the Designated Packages when signing a contract, please check with our store assistances for the details. 15GB / 35GB / 70GB Asia Pacific RoamFlex Data Pass: Subscription to RoamFlex Data Pass – 15GB / 35GB / 70GB Asia Pacific destinations with a monthly fee of HK$28 / HK$48 / HK$68 is required within the contract period. Customer can enjoy HK$28 / HK$48 / HK$68 monthly fee rebate starting from the next bill month within the contract period. The Customer shall use the "RoamFlex Data Pass" for the period specified in the Sales and Services Agreement. The term shall start from the service effective date. "Data Roaming Day Pass" or "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan should be activated at the same time. The remaining data entitlement of the "RoamFlex Data Pass" will be automatically forfeited when the Term expires. If the Customer's accumulated "RoamFlex Data Pass" usage exceeds roaming data allowance within contract period and top-up "RoamFlex Data Pass" data is purchased, or if the Customer is located in any overseas destination(s) other than designated destinations, the Customer will be charged the original day plan price under the "Data Roaming Day Pass" or "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan subscribed, depending on the fee(s) to be charged in specific location(s). "RoamFlex Data Pass" subscription is only available to Main SIM mobile number. Customers of Main SIM and Add-on SIM under the designated plan can all enjoy the roaming data allowance within contract period under "RoamFlex Data Pass". (If applicable) Customer can enjoy the roaming voice service at a special price ("The Voice Offer") in specific destinations for receiving calls, outgoing calls to local and Hong Kong by roaming direct dial for total 100 minutes within the contract period. Calls in other destinations/ other roaming calls usage will be charge at standard roaming rates. The Voice Offer is only applicable to Primary SIM Card. Terms and conditions apply (T&C-I044).


Unlimited Local Data: Only available to customers who have subscribed to a designated 5G service plan contract subscription. When monthly data usage reaches the plan's data allowance, data service continues with data speed up to 5Mbps. For the main SIM card and "5G Add-On SIM card" (If applicable), data service continues with data speed up to 1Mbps in 5G network; for "4.5G Full Speed Add-On SIM card" and "4.5G 42Mbps Add-On SIM card" plan (If applicable), data service continues with data speed up to 1Mbps in 4G network.


SmarTone Plus membership & privilege: Customers who subscribe or renew designated mobile service plan will enjoy SmarTone Plus membership and the membership offered depends on the service plan selected. Membership period of designated membership tier will be 13 months. For members who have met the qualifying spending level during the eligible spending period, their membership will be renewed or upgraded. Fixed-term contract is required for designated membership tier. The company may terminate or change the terms and conditions of SmarTone Plus at any time without prior notice. General Terms and Conditions: Each designated contract subscription is entitled to the above offer once only. The Company reserves the right to offer an alternative gift of equivalent or approximate value. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other subscription / re-contract offers. The above offers will be forfeited if the customer changes to other service plans/ cannot activate the service in 180 days upon the contract subscription, and the Company has the right to charge the full amount of the gift without prior notice. After expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing comparable plan if the customer continues to use the service. Customers can enjoy extra 5GB 42Mbps Local Data offer per month within the contract period upon a designated service plan contract subscription. The first 10GB of this plan is at up to 42Mbps. When monthly local data usage reaches 10GB, data service continues but will be at up to 128kbps. Local data usage excludes tethering and peer-to-peer applications.


Monthly fee HK$99 is based on the original monthly fee HK$128 for ExtraCare Smartphone Plan, after a rebate of HK$29 per month credited to the customer during the contract period. After expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing comparable plan if the customer continues to use the service. Customers can enjoy extra 10GB 42Mbps Local Data offer per month as well as Unlimited Local Data Upgrade to 2Mbps Speed offer within the contract period upon a designated service plan contract subscription. The first 15GB of this plan is at up to 42Mbps. When monthly local data usage reaches 15GB, data service continues but will be at up to 2Mbps. Local data usage excludes tethering and peer-to-peer applications. Unlimited Local Data Upgrade to 2Mbps Speed offer: Upon subscription of a designated ExtraCare Smartphone Plan under fixed term contract, the customer can enjoy Unlimited Local Data Upgrade to 2Mbps Speed offer per month during the contract period. 2Mbps Unlimited Data Plan Service Rebate: Subscription to 2Mbps Unlimited Data Plan is required within the contract period. Customer can enjoy a monthly rebate for 2Mbps Unlimited Data Plan under a designated Plan, the amount of rebate is based on the monthly service charge at the time of service subscription. The rebate on the first bill month and/or the last bill month will be credited on a pro-rate basis based on the number of days of usage during the bill cycle (If applicable). The rebate amount in a bill month will not be greater than the monthly service charge. After the expiry of the contract, 2Mbps Unlimited Data Plan will be terminated. With the add-on speed upgrade pack, the unlimited local data speed is at up to 2Mbps. Data is not available for sharing internet function via mobile phone (including tethering) and peer-to-peer applications (including BitTorrent). Only applicable to designated ExtraCare Smartphone Plan with unlimited Data speed up to 128kbps. When the 42Mbps monthly local data usage reaches its plan's data allowance, data service continues but data speed will be at up to 2Mbps, upgraded from up to 128kbps. Monthly fee HK$120 is based on the original monthly fee HK$158 for ExtraCare Smartphone Plan, after a rebate of HK$38 per month credited to the customer during the contract period. After expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing comparable plan if the customer continues to use the service. Customers can enjoy extra 7GB 42Mbps Local Data offer per month within the contract period upon a designated service plan contract subscription. The first 14GB of this plan is at up to 42Mbps. Under FUP (Fair Usage Policy), when monthly data usage reaches the plan's data allowance (14GB), data service continues (up to 42Mbps) without data capping, but access to network resources will be given lower priority. Local data usage excludes tethering and peer-to-peer applications.


ExtraCare Smartphone Plan: This Plan is not applicable to 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network. This plan does not support any web browsing in desktop mode via any mobile browser. ExtraCare Smartphone Plan is not applicable to other connected devices (including but not limited to USB modem/ pocket WiFi/ TV box/ BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions). If the customer uses this plan on other connected devices, 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, any charges which may incur will be borne by the customer. Actual data transmission speed may vary due to Internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise.


Administration Fee Waiver: Only applicable to designated service plan. Customer can enjoy Administration Fee Waiver offer starting from the first billing month within the contract period upon a designated service plan contract subscription.


1GB Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack (the Package):

  • The +$30 / Month Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$30, after a rebate of HK$10 per month has been given to the customer within contract period. The Free 1GB per month Mainland & Macau Roaming Data Pack is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$40, after a rebate of HK$40 per month has been given to the customer within contract period.
  • The monthly data allowance of the Package can be used in both Mainland and Macau.
  • Customers who choose the Package must sign a contract term that is the same as their monthly plan. If the customer's current monthly plan does not have a contract term, they must sign a 12-month contract term when choosing the Pack.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Customer, the Package will continue to be provided to the Customer after expiry and will charge the monthly fee of the Package at the time of contract term expiration.
  • The Customer who subscribes the Package should also activate "Data Roaming Day Pass" at the same time. When travelling in Mainland and Macau, please enable the data roaming feature on the mobile phone to enjoy the Pack.
  • When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations other than Mainland and Macau, the daily roaming data usage will be charged by "Data Roaming Day Pass" subscribed by the Customer.   • Whenever the data usage of the Package nearly reaches the specified data usage within the location of Mainland and Macau, the Company will notify the Customer by SMS. The Customer may reply by SMS to purchase additional data usage at the charge as specified in the SMS received. If the Customer does not reply to purchase the additional data usage, any subsequent data roaming usage will be deducted from your purchased other roaming products.   • Any unused monthly data allowance and top-up data of the Package will be forfeited at the end of billing month.
  • The Package cannot be subscribed in conjunction with certain designated service plans. These include, but are not limited to designated DataRoam services, Greater Bay Area Easy Pack, Mainland Macau Data Pack. Please note that the designated service plans that are incompatible with the "Mainland & Macau Data Service" may undergo periodic changes without prior notice. Flexi Switch is not applicable for "Mainland & Macau Data Service".
  • The Package is charged on a monthly basis. The monthly charges for the first month will be charged on a pro-rata basis from the service effective date to the first bill date. The monthly charges are payable in advance and non-refundable under whatever circumstances.
