Data Guard Service Update
Starting 4 June 2025, SmarTone’s Data Guard Service will be powered by Norton, a global cybersecurity leader. Via Norton 360 app, Data Guard Service subscribers will be provided with protection to minimize risks, including SMS security, Wi-Fi Security, Internet Security, Device Security, and App Security*.
To continue using your Data Guard Service, existing Data Guard subscribers must complete the following:

Keep an eye on your notification SMS or email, follow the steps to receive your activation SMS or eDM.

Follow the steps outlined in the activation SMS/eDM to download and activate the Norton 360 app (Please complete this by 30 June 2025).

Remove the Data Guard app from your device.
The current Data Guard app will cease operations on 30 June 2025. This transition will not affect the pricing / payment arrangements, contract terms, other services and the remaining service days (where applicable), whether or not your Norton 360 app has been activated.
Updated terms of Data Guard Service (
T&C-V152) and Norton Security (
T&C-V168) shall apply.

vA 3-month contract is required. The 3-month Trial Price is based on the original monthly fee $25, after a contract rebate of $25 per month will be given in 2nd and 3rd bill months within the contract period. After the expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing original monthly fee of the service if the customer continues to use the service.
*A 12-month contract is required. The average monthly fee $18 is based on the original monthly fee $25, after a contract rebate of $25 per month will be given in first 3 bill months and a rebate of HK$9 will be given in the 4th bill month within contract period. After the expiry of the contract, the customer will be charged at the prevailing original monthly fee of the service if the customer continues to use the service.
