  • Under FUP (Fair Usage Policy), when monthly data usage reaches the plan's data allowance, data service continues without speed throttling or data capping, but access to network resources will be given lower priority and data service experience may be affected.

  • The Account Owner is responsible for the specified service plan and has complete financial responsibility for the monthly bill of the specified service plan.

  • At any time when the local data usage on a plan nearly reaches the monthly allowance, an SMS notification will be sent to the customer. The customer may reply to the SMS to purchase a top-up. If no top-up is purchased, data service will be suspended when the data usage has reached the allowance. Customer may purchase a top-up at any time to resume service, or wait until the beginning of the next bill month to commence service again with the new monthly data allowance.

    Any unused top-up local mobile data can be carried forward for free and can be used before the end of the next bill month. This is only applicable to designated service plans (1GB or above) with an “Advise & Consent” mechanism for the purchase of top-up data.

    Other services included: Intra SMS, voicemail, call forwarding, caller number display, call waiting and conference call.

    SmarTone Screen Replace™ is restricted to covering the repair or replacement cost of accidental physical damage of the smartphone screen and/or its attached LCD panel.

  • Fixed-Term contract is not required; customers are required to pay service fee monthly.

  • Download, usage and content update of this service will incur data. It will be deducted from relevant subscribed service plans and charged at the applicable thereafter fee. Alternatively, it will be charged based on standard data charges.

  • The monthly fee HK108/HK$36 is calculated based on the original monthly fee HK$136/HK$46, after a rebate of HK$28/HK$10 per month has been given to the customer within contract period.

Expat Plan︰
  • Customers are required to pay an admin fee of HK$18/month.
  • The customer shall use credit card autopay to settle the monthly service plan and related service fees. If the customer does not settle his monthly payment by credit card autopay, a deposit of HK$1,000 is required.
  • Call duration is rounded up to full units for computation purposes. Each full unit is based on a per minute airtime.
  • Free intra SMS is available when using a phone to send local SMS to SmarTone customers.
  • Roaming charge & standard roaming data charge apply when roaming. Please ask our store assistants or visit our website for details.
  • Expat Plan is not applicable to 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network. If the customer uses this plan on any 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, any charges which may incur will be borne by the customer. Actual data transmission speeds may vary due to Internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise.
  • Plans are not applicable to BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions.

Extra Local Data Offer:
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to Expat Plan upon a 6-month contract subscription.
  • Customers can enjoy extra 4GB local data in the first 6 months’ bill within the contract period upon a contract subscription. The extra local data under this offer will be forfeited if the customer changes to other service plans.
  • The extra local data cannot be used in conjunction with DataRoam Service. The extra local data will be forfeited upon DataRoam Servicesubscription. The forfeited data will not be refunded or replenished to the customer.
  • Each service plan is entitled to the offer once only.
  • The offer cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

Extra Add-on Data SIM Card Offer:
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to Expat Plan.
  • Customers can opt for an Add-on Data SIM card for free. The Add-on Data SIM card does not include any data usage, and its data usage will be counted towards the usage of this Plan.
  • The Add-on Data SIM card does not provide any voice service.
  • If the Plan is terminated for whatever reason, the Add-on Data SIM card will be terminated automatically at the same time.
  • For Customers who opt for FUP Unlimited Data / 10GB Add-on Local Data / DataRoam Service, the data usage will also apply to the Add-on Data SIM card.
  • The extra local data usage will also apply to the Add-on Data SIM card.
  • Free intra SMS will also apply to the Add-on Data SIM card.

Free Service Offers:
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to Expat Plan.
  • The free service offers are only applicable to the Primary SIM card of the Expat Plan only, it is not applicable to the Add-on Data SIM card under the same plan.
  • Subject to relevant terms and conditions. The Company reserves the right of final decision relating to the promotions and any dispute thereof, and may change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
  • (1) 100 minutes of 001 IDD service per month:
    • i) Total 100 free minutes of 001 IDD service per month and the IDD minutes only apply to voice calls made by 001 IDD in Hong Kong to the normal fixed and mobile numbers in China, USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Macau, Canada, Thailand, South Korea, Philippines, France, India, Italy and Germany. But excludes voice calls made to the infoline numbers and satellite numbers.
    • ii) The Customer must apply 001 IDD to enjoy the free minutes of IDD.
    • iii) Unused free minute(s) cannot be carried forwarded and will be cancelled on bill date.
    • iv) Free 001 IDD minutes will be given on pro-rata basis from service activation date to 1st bill date, and free 100 minutes IDD will be given in the following bills.

  • (2) WiFi service:
    • i) Free WiFi service will be terminated if the Customer changes to other service plan.
    • ii) Customers are required to register for WiFi service through our 24-hour service hotline 2880 2688.

  • (3) Call Guard service:
    • i) This service can be used on smartphones running iOS 5.1.1 or above, Android 2.2 or above, Windows Phone 7.5 or above and BlackBerry® 6 or above.

  • (4) ST Protect service:
    • i) This service can be used on smartphones running iOS 8.0 or above, and Android 4.0 or above.

    • i) This service can be used on designated smartphones running Android 4.0 or above and iOS 7.0 or above.

Upgraded Roaming Data Day Plan offer:
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to Expat Plan.
  • The Primary SIM card and the Add-on Data SIM card (if applicable) of the Expat Plan should also activate "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan at the same time.
  • Each of the SIM cards can enjoy “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan at 50% off on fixed daily rate (based on original price). The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. The fixed daily rate will be adjusted from HK$138 (China/Macau) or HK$198 (other destinations) to HK$69 or HK$99 respectively for roaming data each day, HK$60 credit for local outgoing calls within same city and free global travel insurance are included.A daily rate of only HK$34 (original at HK$68) is applied when you start to use roaming data after 18:00 (local time) in the visited destination (excluding the HK$60 credit for local outgoing calls within same city).   • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will firstly be deducted with the use of “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan.
  • The Primary SIM card and the Add-on Data SIM card (if applicable) of the Expat Plan can switch to Virtual WiFi Egg. Please click here for details of Virtual WiFi Egg.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of Virtual WiFi Egg offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will firstly be deducted with the use of Virtual WiFi Egg.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will be forfeited when the Customer switches to Virtual WiFi Egg for the Primary SIM card and the Add-on Data SIM card (if applicable) of the Expat Plan. The forfeited free day entitlement will not be refunded or replenished to the Customer.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of Virtual WiFi Egg offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will be forfeited when the Customer switches to "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan for the Primary SIM card and the Add-on Data SIM card (if applicable) of the Expat Plan. The forfeited free day entitlement will not be refunded or replenished to the Customer.

FUP Unlimited Data :
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to Expat Plan.
  • (Applicable to a 6-month contract subscription) Customers opting for FUP Unlimited Data, the contract end date will be the same as the Expat Plan.
  • FUP Unlimited Data cannot be used in conjuction with Multi-SIM, Tag-On SIM Plans and 10GB Add-on Local Data Plan.
  • Free WiFi service: (Not applicable to the FUP Unlimited Data purchased for the bill month by monthly subscription)
    • i) Free WiFi service is available to a Customer who has subscribed to a designated FUP Unlimited Data Plan.
    • ii) Free WiFi service will be terminated if the Customer changes to other service plan.
    • iii) Customers are required to register for WiFi service through our 24-hour service hotline 2880 2688.

  • FUP Unlimited Data is not applicable to 2G phones / connected devices or any phones / connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, and not applicable to other connected devices (including but not limited to USB modem / pocket wi-fi / TV box / BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions ).

Data Upgrade Choice:
  • Only available to customers who have subscribed to a designated SuperCare Smartphone Plan (6GB or above) and FUP Unlimited Data Plan.
  • Customers opting for Data Upgrade Choice Plan, including the local data entitlement of the SuperCare Smartphone Plan, the total local data entitlement would not be less than 30GB per month.
  • The contract end date of Data Upgrade Choice Plan will be the same as the FUP Unlimited Data Plan. At the end of contract, unless customer gives not less than 30 days prior notice to terminate the service, we will continue to provide the service and customer will be charged at the prevailing monthly fee of Data Upgrade Choice Plan.
  • If customer terminates Data Upgrade Choice Plan or FUP Unlimited Data Plan within the contract of Data Upgrade Choice Plan, customer shall pay us liquidated damages of the corresponding service(s).
  • Data Upgrade Choice Plan cannot be used in conjunction with Multi-SIM, Tag-On SIM Plans and other Add-on Local Data Plan.

SmarTone Screen Replace™ offer:
  • Each service plan can enjoy this offer once.
  • Your smartphone is required to meet the designated criteria in order to enjoy SmarTone Screen Replace™ . Please click here for details.
  • A customer may choose the 24-month option of SmarTone Screen Replace™, by paying a fee of HK$300. Or paying a fee of HK$400 to get reimbursement for the cost of screen/LCD panel repair or replacement, twice in the 24-month period.
  • The reimbursement is subject to submission by the customer of the official invoice from the smartphone manufacturer or its authorised repair centres as stipulated by SmarTone.
  • The reimbursement is restricted to covering the repair or replacement cost of accidental physical damage of the handset screen and/or its attached LCD panel, and expressly excludes any other repair and refurbishment of any other component or the handset itself. If the smartphone manufacturer or its authorised repair centres, as stipulated by SmarTone, offer a handset replacement as the only option for repair, SmarTone may exercise discretion and will reimburse 60% on the cost of handset replacement. The reimbursement percentage can vary from time to time and SmarTone's decision on the validity for reimbursement is absolute and final.

RoamFlex Data Pass service plan:
  • The Customer shall use the RoamFlex Data Pass with Term total 24 months. The Term shall start from the service effective date.
  • On subscription of the RoamFlex Data Pass service plan, roaming data allowance and top-up of RoamFlex Data Pass data purchased under the RoamFlex Data Pass service plan within the contract period can be shared in designated destinations.
  • Unless otherwise specified by the Customer before the Term expired, the Term will be automatically extended at the prevailing service plan for successive periods of Term. The same terms and conditions of this service shall apply unless otherwise stated. The said automatic extension is subject to the final and absolute discretion of the Company at any times.
  • The Customer who subscribe RoamFlex Data Pass should also activate Virtual WiFi Egg or “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan at the same time. Please click here for details of Virtual WiFi Egg. Please click here for details of "Upgraded" Roaming Data Day Plan.
  • (Applicable to Family Plan/ Designated 5G Service Plan) If the Customer of the Primary SIM Card subscribes the RoamFlex Data Pass, all mobile numbers under the designated Family plan/ designated 5G Service Plan should also activate Virtual WiFi Egg or “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan at the same time.
  • The remaining data entitlement of the RoamFlex Data Pass will be automatically forfeited after the Term expired. The new data allowance within contract period of RoamFlex Data Pass will be provided after the new Term / extended Term effective.
  • When the Customer is within the location of designated destinations and if the Customer’s accumulated RoamFlex Data Pass usage exceeds roaming data allowance within contract period and (if applicable) top-up of RoamFlex Data Pass data purchased, the Customer will be charged the original day plan price of Virtual WiFi Egg or “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan subscribed by the customer and according to the destination(s) for the thereafter roaming data usage.
  • When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations other than designated destinations, the daily roaming data usage will be charged with the original day plan price of Virtual WiFi Egg or “Upgraded” Roaming Data Day Plan subscribed by the customer and according to the destination(s).
  • RoamFlex Data Pass cannot be subscribed in conjunction with China Macau Data Pack or Greater Bay Area Easy Pack.
  • (Applicable to Family Plan/ Designated 5G Service Plan) RoamFlex Data Pass is only available to Primary SIM Card. All mobile numbers under the designated Family plan/ designated 5G Service Plan can enjoy the roaming data allowance within contract period under RoamFlex Data Pass upon subscription of the Primary SIM Card.
  • (If applicable) If the Customer purchased more than one Roaming Data Pass for different group destinations, deduction on usage of roaming data shall follow the following deduction sequence:
    • 1) Roaming data allowance under service plan (DataRoam Service/ Greater Bay Area Data Service/ ExtraCare Bay Area Plan/ SuperCare Bay Area/ Asia/ Worldwide Plan);
    • 2) RoamFlex Data Pass roaming data allowance;
    • 3) Roaming Data Pass (by daily);
    • 4) Data Roaming Dollars.
