LiveCams ─ another innovative service presented by
enabling customers to keep an eye on things important to them in 4 simple steps

(18 June 2003, Hong Kong) - SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited today announced the launch of LiveCams service by , enabling customers to connect instantly to their own Internet cameras and keep an eye on what is important to them.

Customers can set up the Internet cameras by themselves through just 4 simple steps to view snapshots of what is important to them, like their kids, their home or office. With Sharp GX12, a member of the "Best Wireless Handset" GX series of 2003 GSM Association Award, customers can go to / "Live!" channel / LiveCams to enjoy the easy-to-operate service.

"With our core customer proposition to offer the best user experience, we endeavour to simplify the service activation process by shortening the Internet camera set-up and software installation procedures to merely 4 steps, thus helping our customers 'get closer' to what is important to them," said Mr. Douglas Li, Chief Executive Officer of SmarTone.

The monthly fee of LiveCams service is only HK$28 per month with GPRS charge at HK$0.1/KB on pay-as-you-go basis. There are five GPRS plans* available for customers' selection to best suit their level of mobile data consumption.

Customers can get a free Internet camera upon purchase of Sharp GX 12 at $2,980 and signing a 6-month service contract together with 6-month subscription of LiveCams service. Existing customers with Sharp GX12 are also entitled to a free Internet camera upon subscription of LiveCams service for 6 months.
