May 2003, Hong Kong) – SmarTone Mobile Communications Ltd. today announced
its collaboration
with Guangdong Mobile Communication
Co., Ltd. on extending customer services for all
customers travelling between Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong Province*.
If SmarTone’s Hong Kong and
Macau customers lose their SIM cards while roaming in Guangdong Province, they
can go to designated Guangdong Mobile’s sales and customer service centers for immediate
SIM card replacement and resumption of roaming service.
Furthermore, SmarTone’s customers roaming in
Guangdong Province can call Guangdong Mobile’s customer hotline at 1860 (first press the area code of the city that the
customers locates before dialling) or visit any of their sales outlets for enquiries. Alternatively, they can call
SmarTone’s 24-hour toll-free international roaming hotline at 10800 852 0652
for emergency support.
For Guangdong Mobile’s customers roaming in
Hong Kong and Macau, SmarTone will provide reciprocal support
services.

Province so that the roaming needs of customers travelling in Hong Kong, Macau and

information and the entertainment that are important to them. We will continue to maintain the high
