Flexible Contract Term and Monthly Fee Rebate

Customers can freely change to the SuperCare Smartphone Plan with a handset subscription (6GB) for a monthly fee of just $518, or the SIM Only SuperCare Smartphone Plan (6GB) at a monthly fee of just $298 and enjoy a monthly fee waiver for up to 6 months within the contract period.

At any time when the local data usage on a plan nearly reaches the monthly allowance, an SMS notification will be sent to the customer. The customer may reply to the SMS to purchase a top-up. If no top-up is purchased, data service will be suspended when the data usage has reached the allowance. Customer may purchase a top-up at any time to resume service, or wait until the beginning of the next bill month to commence service again with the new monthly data allowance.

Any unused top-up local mobile data can be carried forward for free and can be used before the end of the next bill month. This is only applicable to designated service plans (1GB or above) with an “ Advise & Consent ” mechanism for the purchase of top-up data.

Terms and Conditions for this Offer

    Supreme Smartphone Trial Plan:
  • The Customer shall subscribe the Supreme Data Pack Service Plan and New Smartphone Trial Service at the same time.
  • Only applicable to new customers / existing customers with a new subscription, a designated service plan with fixed term contract subscription is required.
  • Service Plan must be activated on or before 10 Sep 2017.

  • Supreme Data Pack Service Plan:
  • Supreme Data Pack Service Plan includes either FUP Unlimited Data Service or DataRoam x6 Service.
  • Customer can either enjoy new smartphone trial service or enjoy purchase of designated smartphone model at Special Customer Price once under each Service Plan.
  • Customers are required to pay an admin fee of HK$18/month.
  • Flexi–switch is not eligible for this offer.
  • Additional voice minutes charge HK$0.9/min.
  • Call duration is rounded up to full charge units for computation purposes. Each full charge unit is based on a per minute airtime charge.
  • Free intra SMS is available when using a phone to send local SMS to SmarTone customers.
  • Roaming charge & standard roaming data charge apply when roaming. Please ask our store assistants or visit our website for details.
  • The Plan is not applicable to 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network. If the customer uses this plan on any 2G phones/ connected devices or any phones/ connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, any charges which may incur will be borne by the customer. Actual data transmission speeds may vary due to Internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise.
  • Plans are not applicable to BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions.

  • Supreme Data Pack (Unlimited Data):
  • FUP Unlimited Data cannot be used in conjunction with Multi-SIM, Tag-On SIM Plans and 10GB Add-on Local Data Plan.
  • Free WiFi service:
    i) Free WiFi service is available to a Customer who has subscribed to a designated FUP Unlimited Data Plan.
    ii) Free WiFi service will be terminated if the Customer changes to other service plan.
    iii) Customers are required to register for WiFi service through our 24-hour service hotline 2880 2688.
    iv) WiFi service applies to designated WiFi hotspots provided by Y5 ZONE Limited  in Hong Kong only.
  • FUP Unlimited Data is not applicable to 2G phones / connected devices or any phones / connected devices which have manually opted for 2G network, and not applicable to other connected devices (including but not limited to USB modem / pocket wi-fi / TV box / BlackBerry smartphones with BlackBerry 7 OS and earlier versions ).

  • Supreme Data Pack (DataRoam x6):
  • Upon subscription of this Service Plan, the monthly data allowance and top-up data purchased under the Plan can be shared in Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Japan & Singapore.
  • Upon subscription of this Service Plan, the monthly local voice minutes allowance and additional local voice minutes purchased under the Plan can be shared in Hong Kong and Macau for receiving calls from anywhere and local outgoing calls in the same designation.
  • The Customer who subscribes this Service Plan should also activate “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan at the same time. To use the DataRoam x6 Service when travelling, the Customer should turn on data roaming via 'Settings' on his/her phone.
  • When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations which cover the DataRoam x6 Service and if the Customer ’ s accumulated data usage exceeds monthly data allowance and top-up data purchased (if applicable) under this Service Plan, the daily thereafter roaming data usage will be charged by “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan.
  • Customer can enjoy “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan at 50% off on fixed daily rate (based on original price) upon the subscription of this Service Plan. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. The fixed daily rate will be adjusted from HK$138 (China/Macau) or HK$198 (other destinations) to HK$69 or HK$99 respectively for roaming data each day, HK$60 credit for local outgoing calls within same city and free global travel insurance. A daily rate of only HK$34 (original at HK$68) is applied when you start to use roaming data after 18:00 (local time) in the visited destination (excluding the HK$60 credit for local outgoing calls within same city).   • This Service Plan cannot be used in conjunction with 10GB Add-on Local Data Plan, Multi-SIM Monthly Plan and Tag-On SIM Plan.
  • (If applicable) Any free bonus local data offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will be forfeited upon the subscription of this Service Plan. The forfeited data will not be refunded or replenished to the Customer.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will firstly be deducted with the use of “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of Virtual WiFi Egg offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will be forfeited when the Customer switches to “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan upon the subscription of this Service Plan. The forfeited free day entitlement will not be refunded or replenished to the Customer.
  • (If applicable) Any free day entitlement of “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan offered to an existing contract of a service number under the service plan will be forfeited when the Customer switches to Virtual WiFi Egg upon the subscription of this Service Plan. The forfeited free day entitlement will not be refunded or replenished to the Customer.
  • (If applicable) For any Customer who subscribes Supreme Data Pack Service Plan (FUP Unlimited Data) also opts for DataRoam Service additionally / for any Customer who subscribes Supreme Data Pack Service Plan (DataRoam x6) also opts for FUP Unlimited Data Service additionally, FUP Unlimited Data usage applies to local (Hong Kong) use only. When the Customer is within the location of any of the overseas destinations which cover the selected DataRoam Service and if the Customer ’ s accumulated data usage exceeds monthly data allowance under this Service Plan, the daily thereafter roaming data usage will be charged by “ Upgraded ” Roaming Data Day Plan.

  • Free Connecting Tone Service:
  • Free Connecting Tone Service is only available during the DataRoam Service period.
  • Service includes 1 connecting tone change per month. For additional change, HK$5 per tone change will apply.
  • Browsing Connecting Tone content or sampling music tracks will incur data. It will be deducted from relevant subscribed service plans and charged at the applicable thereafter fee. Alternatively, it will be charged based on standard data charges.
  • Customer with Connecting Tone and Connecting Tone Channel subscription are not eligible to enjoy the free offer.

  • Free 30 minutes of 001 IDD:
  • Free 30 minutes of 001 IDD is only available during the DataRoam Service period, and the IDD minutes only apply to voice calls made by 001 IDD in Hong Kong to the normal fixed and mobile numbers in China. But excludes voice calls made to the infoline numbers and satellite numbers.
  • Customer must apply 001 IDD to enjoy the 30 free minutes of IDD.
  • Unused free minute(s) cannot be carried forwarded and will be cancelled on bill date.
  • Free 001 IDD minutes will be given on pro-rata basis from service activation date to 1st bill date, and free 30 minutes IDD will be given in the following bills.

  • New Smartphone Trial Service:
  • An additional smartphone trial monthly fee of HK$250 (“Smartphone Trial Monthly Fee”) will be charged and a deposit of HK$6,000 is required for trial use of designated smartphone models (“Trial Smartphone”).
  • The Customer acknowledges the Trial Smartphone remains the sole and exclusive property of the Company during the Term.
  • The Customer can return the Trial Smartphone1 month after the commencement of the Term or before the end of Term. The Company shall return the deposit of HK$6,000 to the Customer but the Trial Smartphone must have the same IMEI number as the original handset.
  • The Trial Smartphone must be of original manufacture without any modification and proven in good working condition and operating normally and without physical damage of the smartphone screen.
  • If credit card was presented for deposit payment, the refunding process will be through credit card and the time required varies across different banks. For other methods of deposit payment, refund will be by way of crossed cheque.
  • The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the smartphone.
  • SmarTone Screen Replace™ is not eligible for this offer.

  • Special Purchase Handset:
  • SmarTone customer can purchase designated smartphone models at HK$6,000 Special Customer Price (“Special Purchase Handset”).
  • Customer can trade in the designated Special Purchase Handset with same IMEI number. HK$4,800 guaranteed trade-in price will be credited to the Customer if the Customer trade-in the Special Purchase Handset within 1st to 3rd month of the Term. If trade-in is within 4th to 6th month of the Term, HK$4,500 guaranteed trade-in price will be credited to the Customer.
  • The traded-in Special Purchase Handset must be of original manufacture without any modification and proven in good working condition and operating normally and without physical damage of the smartphone screen.
  • If credit card was presented for handset payment, the refunding process will be through credit card and the time required varies across different banks. For other methods of handset payment, refund will be by way of crossed cheque.
  • SmarTone Screen Replace™ is not eligible for this offer.

  • Switching to New Designated Service Plan:
  • After 1 month or before the end of Term, the customer can switch to monthly fee at $518 SuperCare Smartphone Plan(6GB) or monthly fee at $298 SuperCare SIM-only Plans (6GB).
  • Credit Amount will be rebated to the customer during the New Term (number of used months under Supreme Data Pack Service Plan + Switch Contract Term). Credit total amount = Monthly fee under New Term x number of used month(s) under Supreme Data Pack Service Plan. Credit month are calculated as rounded down unit and all values of Credit Amount are rounded down to the nearest month.
  • Credit Amount to be rebated to the customer will be credited to the customer during the New Term according to the credit arrangement specified in the Sales and Services Agreement (or Supplemental Agreement to the Sales and Services Agreement). The Credit Amount cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Home Fibre Broadband Service Offer
  • Subscription to designated mobile service plan with the registration of Fibre Broadband service under the same account / Subscription to any HomePhone+ with the registration of ST Fibre Broadband under the same HKID is required.
  • The offer only applies to customers registering for broadband service at a designated resident address.
  • The number of monthly fee waiver depends on the Fibre Broadband’s service plan selected.
  • The waived monthly fee only includes basic Broadband Service, excluding entertainment pack.
  • The total waived monthly fee will be credited to the customer account over the contract period of the Service Plan. (Monthly rebate = The total waived monthly fee/30months)

  • General Terms and Conditions:
  • Customers cannot enjoy this offer in conjunction with other offers.
  • This offer cannot be transferred to any third party and is neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash.
