SmarTone expands services to & stored-value SIM card customers
enabling them to discover and enjoy multimedia messaging services

(4 June 2003, Hong Kong) - SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited today announced the expansion of services to both and stored-value SIM card customers, so that they can access to and enjoy multimedia messaging services.

“Our ‘Get Closer’ customer-oriented strategy calls for our continuous strengthening of services to all customer segments. With the service enhancement, and stored-value SIM card customers can discover the many interest-oriented channels of , SmarTone’s mobile multimedia portal, and communicate more effectively with multimedia messenging services like and ,” said Douglas Li, Chief Executive Officer of SmarTone.

is the only monthly tariff plan guaranteeing the best offer in town for customers who are more value-driven. presently offers the lowest pay-as-you-go charge at HK$0.3 per SMS sent to SmarTone customers and the current per minute rate for the first 300 minutes is HK$0.25, covering both inter- and intra-network airtime charges.

is the only flexi monthly plan in town that allows customers to deduct all service charges from it - such services covering the wide spectrum of voice service; messaging services (eg. SMS, , ); data services (eg. , Java games, ringtone/logo/picture message download); and value-added services (eg. voice mail, call forwarding). Customers can make IDD calls to more than 240 countries in the world and roam to China or Macau at competitive rates.

The GPRS rate that is applicable to all SmarTone’s customers stands at HK$0.02/kb for browsing and HK$0.10/kb for other WAP sites.
