SmarTone’s “my connecting tone” service comes FREE

with purchase of Sony Ericsson T610 handset

 

(16 May 2003, Hong Kong) - SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited today announced the offer of 1st month FREE “my connecting tone” service for customers purchasing Sony Ericsson T610* handset.

 

New SmarTone subscribers (excluding  customers) can enjoy 1st month FREE “my connecting tone” service upon purchase of Sony Ericsson T610 handset at $3,080 and signing a 6-month contract -- this special offer is valid until 30 June 2003.  Existing SmarTone customers can also enjoy this 1st month FREE “my connecting tone” service upon purchase of Sony Ericsson T610 handset. 

 

SmarTone is the only mobile network operator in Hong Kong that enables customers to instantly preview, select and change a connecting tone using their mobile phones.  To enjoy this “over the air” method, which is the easiest and most convenient way in town to operate connecting tone via WAP handset, customers only have to browse and select my connecting tone” service under "in Channels\Hip-Hop”.  After making a few clicks on WAP handsets, they can preview the connecting tones and make changes whenever they wish.  The selection/change of tones is effective immediately over the air.  Alternatively, they can listen to the categorised tones one-by-one by simply keying in *168 SEND in their handsets and then select/change their favourite tone.  The list of tones are also uploaded on SmarTone’s website for customers' easy preview. 

 

The choice of tones of “my connecting tone” service has been significantly expanded with over 100 connecting tones in total at present.  Customers can enjoy a wide selection of Western and Asian tones, which are grouped under four categories: “Pop Hits”, “Everlasting Classics”, “Fun & Humour” and “Festive Tunes”. 

 

The monthly subscription of “my connecting tone” service is $20 with one free connecting tone, while the charge for each new connecting tone is $5.
